Training list
Technical courses
You will improve your professional skills in designing and supervising in drilling oil and gas wells. At the same time, you will learn how to independently make calculations and modeling of well design, trajectories in Landmark software,
to make detailed drilling and completion programs of wells with the necessary calculations.

ERD specific training
Extended reach drilling is being pushed further with increasingly complex well paths, distant targets, and more difficult drilling environments. Our courses provide the participants with a full understanding of extended reach design and fundamentals as well as little known insights gained from extended reach and extreme reach specific experience.
Training modules
Training modules aim the theoretical training of Drilling and Completion Supervisors according to the requirements of international standards.
The consists of several segments and covers the necessary competences for effective work execution.

Candidates:
- Well Engineer Operations directly involved in the design, planning and well execution;
- Drilling and Completion Supervisors;
- Managers responsible for the process of well development.

Training modules

Module #1
Upon completion you will be able to:
- choose the rig type and calculate static and dynamic loads acting on the rig;
- calculate the output required for drawworks, top drive system and mud pumps;
- explain the principle of operation of different types of mud pumps;
- choose the right type of drilling fluid and explain its rheological parameters;
- select the system of mechanical cleaning of the drilling fluid from the solid phase;
- understand Well Control principles;
- explain the concept of two well barriers;
- explain the factors affecting successful cement job;
- calculate the volume of cement slurry required;
- calculate the required volume of additives to the cement slurry.

Module #2
Upon completion you will be able to:
- explain how and what cartographic system to use to determine location of the wellbore;
- learn the principle of equipment for measuring the zenith angle and azimuth;
- you will be able to determine the main mechanical forces acting on the bottom-hole assembly (BHA);
- understand the principle of the "pendulum" effect;
- design the BHA for various scenarios;
- learn the main aspects in planning the trajectory of wells;
- be able to calculate the main types of trajectories;
- you will distinguish between two main types of downhole motors for drilling directional wells;
- you can explain the term "reactive moment" and its importance in directional drilling;
- calculate the required weight of the BHA;
- learn what "critical bending load" is.

Module #3
Upon completion you will be able to:
- explain the basic principles of the blowout equipment (BOP);
- recognize the signs of formation fluid entering the well;
- explain methods of action in the event of shallow gas;
- calculate the maximum allowable annular surface pressure;
- calculate the type and height of the influx;
- fill up the kill sheet in the deviated well;
- explain the principle of inflow tests;
- explain the main factors for choosing the type of casing and shoe depth;
- calculate the loads acting on the casing throughout the life cycle of the well;
- select a casing based on the calculation of loads and expected fluids in the well.
Module #4
The last module includes:
- calculations and practices in ERD wells: hole cleaning, tripping practices, equivalent circulating density, swabbing and surging, well bore stability;
- what should include supervising drilling and completion operations;
- fishing operations;
- sidetracking;
- various types and practices of well completion.
